The U.S. Justice department is seeking to halt a merger between Anheuser-Busch InBev, brewer of Budweiser and Mexico's Grupo Modelo, brewer of Corona beer. They've stated that they fear this 20.1 billion dollar merger will put too many brands of beer in the hands of one company. Namely Anheuser-Busch.
Really? Is this something that is so important? With the huge banking and pharmaceutical conglomerates in this country, the Justice department wants to go after a beer company to make sure and keep the price of beer competetive? Give me a break Justice department, and grow a pair of balls!
