UPDATE: History of Denial of Life on Mars, One Week Later

Ancient lakes existed for hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of years on Mars boosting the chance that life once existed on Mars.

Stay tuned for next week when NASA announces they have made contact with intelligent creatures on Mars that want to take us to their leader!

The History of Denial About Mars

• Pre-1970's  -  There could be life on the planet Mars,
• Viking Landers  -  Mars is a dead, lifeless planet...let's forget about it!
• 1980's  -  There could be frozen water at Mars' poles, or it could be frozen carbon dioxide.
• 1990's  -  Maybe there's frozen water at the Martian poles.
• 2000's  -  There may have been liquid water on Mars millions of years ago, but it's long since dried up and the planet is still dead
• 2010's  -  There is liquid flowing water on Mars, but it's really salty and it's doubtful it supports any life.

When will the government stop the cover-up and admit that there's life and a breathable atmosphere on Mars?

Curiosity discovers ancient streambed on Mars!

Well, it seems the Mars rover, Curiosity, has already started turning up new finds on Mars. NASA has announced today that the rover has discovered an ancient streambed that definitely would have been filled with flowing water that was anywhere from ankle deep to hip deep. The mission specialists say that the worn, rounded appearance of the stones in the streambed indicate that the stones were moved and rounded by flowing water that had to have lasted for years consistently. So this is not just a case of a small amount of melted water from time to time.

Curiosity is on it's way to an area near the edge of the crater it is in to do it's science thing, but the scientists at NASA say that this find is like "insurance" that they're going to find evidence of hospitable conditions on Mars for life at one time!

Man on Mars?

Here's a photo recently taken by one of the Mars Rovers. It looks like a "person" walking. I've read no official word from NASA about the photo though. I don't really believe that the rover caught a photo of an actual living being on Mars...but I do believe that there's always the possibility that this could be a statue, which if it was would be definitive proof that not only did life exist on another planet, but that it would have been "intelligent" life!


Hopefully scientists at NASA are planning on sending the rover that direction to take a closer examination of this to definitively tell what we're seeing. If it's just a rock formation that has a humanoid shape, it's certainly the most humanoid looking rock I've ever seen!
