2 Teaser Poster/Wallpapers for my upcoming film(s)

Got creative today and created these two wallpapers based on my upcoming film(s), Brick City Zombie Rampage. I may even attempt to animate the "2 bullets, 2 zombies" scene tomorrow and put it up on Youtube as a teaser trailer for the eventual short film. No promises though, we'll just have to see how it comes out, but making the wallpaper/poster has gotten me excited! B-D

Zombies ahead, beware...

I haven't stopped in here for awhile, been busy I guess. Here's a still shot from a series of short animations I'm working on. I'll let you guess what the storyline involves based on some of the contents of the scene!

Rudolph, bringing you a "Shiny New Year"!

I spent my new year's eve building this Rudolph character model in Blender. Finished him just in time including an armature so that I could pose him for this wallpaper. If anyone had told me a few weeks ago that I'd be able to build this model, I'd have said they were crazy! I guess being unemployed can have it's benefits, I've had the time to sit down and really start learning my way around 3D modeling. If I keep this up, maybe by next year I'll be working for Pixar! LOL

Lumber "Jack"

I've created a wallpaper with my improved Lego mini-figure which I've dubbed Lumber "Jack", and decked him out with a couple of accessories!

Walk-cycle video

A youtube video I put together showing a simple walk-cycle I created for my lego mini-figure I modeled, rigged and skinned in Blender 2.61. The walk-cycle is a little fast, maybe more of a run-cycle for a lego mini-figure, but a good first effort I think.

Lego minifigure, created in Blender 2.61

I built this Lego minifigure, based on one I borrowed from my son, tonight in blender 2.61. I'm planning to rig it with an armature tomorrow and try and do some simple walk animations. I'll be posting them to youtube if I'm successful, and I'll link to it here as well. This is a 1366 x 768 wallpaper I created just in case there were any Lego fans out there that would like to download and use it!

Truck I'm working on in Blender

This is the first realistic vehicle I've attempted in Blender. Considering I've done everything on this so far without any reference material, I think it's coming along pretty nicely. I'm mainly intending to turn this into a fuel truck for a scene I'm building, but I'll probably end up saving the truck base separately and using it to build several different types of trucks.

Becoming a hair stylist

Well, as promised, I've been working for a couple of hours tonight on Blender's particle system to create hair. Yesterday, I managed to create a simple ball that emitted hair from everywhere...tonight I've managed to take a monster's head I'd earlier made and give him a stylish 80's mohawk! It took awhile, and a little trial and error, but the end results are worth it. Next up, I need to work on my "box modeling" skills and create a good looking head with a little less geometry. Although I'll probably start working on improving my lighting skills next.

I know this doesn't look like much, but after much hardship I've finally gotten a "small" handle on the new hair and fur system in Blender 2.46! Next step is to take a model of a head that I've been working on and see if I can give it a realistic looking head of hair and maybe a beard.
